Colonel H. M. Buckley to Brigadier General Hobson

SHELBYVILLE, KY., February 2, 1865.

 Brigadier-General HOBSON:

We have chased Sue Munday's gang into Henry. Our horses are worn out; can't do anything without fresh horses. Please send some, if only fifty. Quantrill is with the gang.

 H. M. BUCKLEY,

 Colonel Fifty-fourth Kentucky.
