Defense Housing, Erie Pennsylvania

Each defense trailer is located on a plot of ground 25 x 50 feet, assuring a fine degree of privacy and room for children to play. Standards set up by the Office for Emergency Management (OEM) Division of Defense Housing for trailers provide a minimum overall length and width to assure the least possible crowding. The trailers are protected from fire and the city's fire bureau regularly conducts inspections. Manager Ackerman and the Lawrence Park Commissioners see to it that the trailer camp is well policed.
